TROY casts these stories through a historical lens to consider what might have really happened but ultimately lets you decide which heroes will fall in battle and which will be immortalised in legend. Homer’s Iliad is rich with myth, legends, gods and monsters. Inspired by Homer’s Iliad, TROY will let you forge a heroic legacy in the late Bronze Age, the furthest back in time the Total War franchise has ever travelled. Angron and Kharn, Konrad and Sevatar, Magnus and Ahriman).A Total War Saga: TROY will reconstruct one of the greatest stories ever told. All that will be left will be giving us a few new toys which have been lost to time in 40K and two Legendary character per legion (i.e. They'll already have the map, the skeletons and models for a good 80%+ of the Heresy units and most of the coremechanic. They could even try to make it some kind of 20-30$ expansion/campaign pack for the main game. ) or they could make it after since they would have nearly all assets for it ready. They could use the heresy as a test to see how a game set in the far future would work (massive gunlines, space battles, ship boarding. Whats special about the heresy is the lore, events and character moreso than large amount of content which provide a nearly endless experience of waht i would expect in a full fledged game. I think the Mechanicus and the Astra Militarum in the TT and there were a few standalone units but the unit diversity simply ain't there compared to 40k. If you strip away the fluff its quite literally nearly all differently coloured space marine bashing eachother's head in. I might be wrong but to me the Horus Heresy feels more like a sort of expansion for a full 40k game or a SAGA game rather than the full thing Think we missed one?
